Determined Woman

I am 46 years old and struggeling with financial stability. I am hard working and determined to be out of the poverty level sometime in my lifetime. I have a 13 year old son who's needs get more expensive all the time. I currently have a home and 3 dogs and can't afford health care even. I fall through all the cracks for financial assistance but those programs don't allow you to produce your own income with help and get up and out. I don't want charity just a leg up. I have lived in the Kansas City area all my life and I love the diversity of the people right down to the weather. I have an associates degree which I didn't get untill I was early 30's. although it doesn't seem to carry much weight any more. I can't give up.

I am desperate to be self supportive and financially stable by my own hand. Single mother with no way to get ahead. I have just downsized and bought a smaller house and am very interested in the idea of buying, fixing and making them more energy efficient and selling houses. I have access to lots of proffessional construction small businesses and would love to churn economic life into area. I need to invest in a couple of houses in order to get this ball rolling. Then it should sustain itself if all goes as planned. Any help on investment capital or grants availability. Thanx
